My friend and I decided to come over last Saturday. He was craving a red beer & me a vodka! He told me to order off the food menu and of course I had to have the chicken wings. I had never eaten here before. The chicken wings were breaded and fried with a side of ranch and hot sauce. He ordered the brisket nachos, with plenty of cheese, they were also good. Everything on the menu is cheap, very affordable bar food which I like. The waitresses/bartender was very attentive this time!

Can never go wrong with Smokey's! If you're local you know whats up. If you're an out of towner and want legit smoked BBQ hit up smokeys. I usually get a brisket/sausage burrito with everything. Burrito because that's what we do in El Paso. They do have it in sandwich form or just as a plate. Chicken, sausage, brisket, bomb ass mac and cheese... "Trust the belly".

Was craving some BBQ food, had OK reviews decided to give it a shot and well I'm disappointed for sure. Food was warm and cold didn't feel like it was freshly made.... Service sucked too

Save yourself from the abdominal discomfort and potential food borne illnesses. We dined here on a Monday evening after needing somewhere close to the hotel to have dinner at, and I wish we would have just stayed in and eaten at the hotel...

They have a sign that clearly indicates sandwiches $5.00 on Monday, and when we asked the guy about it, he knew nothing about it and claimed it was for another place...
So we ordered and the food was anything but fresh. The pork sandwich was AWFUL! The pork was so dried out, it looked like year old ham! You could probably knock someone unconscious with it... The turkey was mediocre at best, but everything else was pretty much awful. The rice and beans were weird. They tasted heavily of super hot sauce... The mac and cheese was very dried, out and even the sandwich bun was falling apart.
They literally warm your food in the microwave! The girl seriously asked if I would be okay with her heating my burrito in the microwave so it wouldn't be cold.... Who does that?? There is a hot plate literally right there!! You are telling me you can't crisp the burrito there?? Wow... all I can say is wow!!! The fries come from single baggies in the mini fridge... those were probably heated in the microwave too... If you are a little buzzed and coming from the bar next door, I'm sure the food will be "fine".... However, if you are looking for quality Texas BBQ, do not come here! On top of bad food you will get poor service... It's a true lose, lose situation.

I used to think that Smokey's was one of best places for bar-b-que in El Paso, but not anymore. Within the year, each time I'd order brisket, the meat was either too fatty or too tough. I don't know if the fatty brisket is being passed off as  moist brisket like at Rudy's BBQ.
